Custer County Historical Society is searching for a new Executive Director to help shape the museum’s future and increase the organization's value to the community.

​

The purpose of the 1881 Courthouse Museum is to collect, preserve, exhibit, research and publish material for the study of history in Custer County and the adjacent Black Hills area.

​

Working closely with the Board of Directors, the Museum Director oversees all aspects of the 1881 Museum’s day to day operation. The Museum is open to the public from May through September.
